The Master of Access
2pm Friday the 22 of June 2012
The exact time, no of course there is not such a thing, the moment I looked at my watch and searched for my phone to find the correct time it passed, it’s now 2.06 and 55 seconds and that’s about as exact as it gets.
So here I am again surrounded by painted faces from my past. I have enjoyed living with them, they’ve kept me company through some dark hours. Hours I don’t wish to dwell upon now as they are there, real and exact enough, without my words. My levels of endurance have been tested, I continue to persevere from day to day and week by week. But at times, when I’m not totally immersed in the depths, I do surface to remind myself of the shape of the clouds. They can be beautiful, and I think sometimes, while starring up, that yes, you can remember them and that I will paint them again one day.
That day still awaits. The person if he doesn’t paint does he or she still remain a painter or do they something else? Do these parts become them or are they just a temporary identity, like a limp or a bad haircut?
But it is something of this patterns the things seen and learnt, that I wish today at this time to talk about. The sensation is unlike observing yourself going about your life from across the street, or if you travel somewhere unexpectedly and then imagined what you would have normally be doing back home.
So what have I observed?
To begin with the domain is not physical. Your hands are not used to construct something original out of material. The creation process, if it can be called that, is not unlike sending small notes of information into a gigantic machine. Such is the nature of the virtual world we live. Its parameters are massive like arms outstretched and fingers splayed to their furthest point. It reaches far and yet mysteriously seems to touch nothing. In this domain, in this state, we are the masters of access, we can slide in and out of other people’s lives like ghosts through walls. But like a ghost, we have no link to the material world. The world will remain the same from the first day to the last. We become informed spectators but without the power to taste life. After 100 years or maybe more, what would we remember of all this if you hadn’t remembered during our time made one sorry statement ourselves, one thing that existed beyond its parameter, independently of its laws.
Each day I send messages out and take time to fashion something of me in its form. It’s not much or much of me. So I send out texts, emails and make calls...it’s work, like other people do but hollow and unsubstantial, like being served a plate with two little food at the end of each day.
Was that work? What was achieved? Was that all I expressed in that time? For some maybe most this is fine enough equal. If there is a necessity there is a purpose behind it all and as they are paid to do this with their lives their lives are justified. But it’s not me.
Between these tasks I get bored, distracted. My thoughts wonder, I look for images and curiosities. The YouTube enters for pyramids and UFO are of varying quality and interest but some of the images make you think. There are many people out there that think aliens built the Pyramids. There are reports of Russians in 1950 having found one buried in one of the chambers. There are facts regarding there building, the man power required to transport the Rock and the accuracy of its cutting that remains a mystery. Then there’s issue of their location and construction in relation to the stars (Orion) and the existence of similar shape buildings built thought out the world, during the same time period.
But I think my favourite uncovered fact is in the existence of the Bosnian Pyramids. From what I’ve understood it’s started as one man hunch that the massive hills he saw were not natural. So he gathered the information and started to dig. What he found underneath the top soil was man made layers of rock and beneath which tunnels were later discovered. I don't think they've come to the end of these, but what they do know is that are seven of these pyramids, that they are larger than the Egyptians ones and were built around 5000 years before them.
Beneath the sea near Japan a diver found a huge structure apparently built at the same time as these pyramids. Now I’m not saying that this is fact, but what’s an important consideration is, is that it opens our minds to at least considering or evaluating established history. The questions of possibility can only be a good thing, as certainty is doubt, depending which side of the street you happen to be standing.
It’s important to be open-minded. There are people out there they say they have been abducted by aliens. Materials have been found in and on very normal people that don’t resemble when analysed, properties ever previously found. Who am I to say this is not a valid fact, just because it doesn’t sit comfortably within the perimeters of my experience does not, or should not, invalidate this information. We do not understand in truth how many things work and our ignorance of this fact is deemed to be acceptable in some areas of life, but not in others.
The inconvenient question, leads to the less convenient answer. This experience is not unlike exploring tunnels and expecting to predict what is at the end of them. The fact that you thought to ask the question, should mean you are prepared to accept the answer or at least be open to hearing it.
Debates rage, as they always have done throughout history, but in the storm of disagreement, it is easy to lose objective truth. The rock and the horizon must be remembered. In the deluge information that surrounded the 9/11 attack for example, there is no point trying to disentangle the collective narrative. The only reliable evidence is free from interpretation. So the only reliable evidence can be found in science and deductions made from some news and movie footage, using you own eyes. From them, one glaring inconsistency that can be deduced, is the size shape accuracy of the object that hit the Pentagon building. The seizure and editing of CCTV images at the location, is obviously suspicious, but even without this, the news footage alone shows that the size of the impact of the "aeroplane" on the building is too small to be from a passenger airplane and clearly points to a drone or missile being used.
Experienced pilots have testified that it's impossible to fly an airliner that low and at that speed, without having made contact with the ground before impact. The perfect condition of the lawn around the impact point, the absence and size of the debris and the obvious lack of fire damage are not small details either. It's worth remembering also, that the two airplanes of similar size reduced the World Trade Centre to dust. This is a remarkable feat, given that it requires temperatures of 3000 degrees to melt steel, that they were generated evenly from top to bottom of both buildings and the fires weren't extinguished for weeks afterwards. Some point to the use of thermite, but whatever was used, it destroyed both buildings in mid-air. This was later confirmed in seismograph data, that showed no evidence of any ground impact having occurred when these two buildings collapsed.
Then there's building 7 of course, which collapsed into its own footprint hours afterwards without having been hit by anything and as a result of superficial fire damage, we are told.
Even if you disqualify this information, the fact remains that there are far too many inconsistencies that surround what would otherwise be a simple act of terrorism. This fact cannot be ignored, but apparently it has been by many.
When there is a possibility of doubt, there is a reason. It is an error of perception to differentiate good reason from bad reason, if the individual is unaware that they have prejudged their conclusion to fit the confines of a previously held belief.
Such is the nature of established fact. It’s no more accurate than the time.
Returning to aliens or alien things. That light the hovered over the Dome in Jerusalem cannot be logically explained, there were five, six maybe more views of it captured on film. You wonder though, if aliens are there, why they don't stop for a chat? But then what would you have to say to an ant?
From the caves to the modern days human represent or reinterpret what is in their locality like a mirror. Distorted sometimes true, but recognisable all the same. As remarkable as the Egyptian building is, the messages on the wall don't indicate outside involvement. Some say there are calved images of space ships, helicopters and so on, but these would not be small details in a bigger picture, they would be the bigger picture. If a large eyed long limbed creature was cutting up granite using machines with razor sharp accuracy, I think this would have been recorded more clearly on those walls. A creature capable of God like action would not be given a human face on a 50ft statue. Equally humans personifying Gods would be far less likely, if it wasn’t humans making God like statements.
Only recently people have been able to fly so high they can look down on the clouds.
This landscape was not part of human perception before. Although like electric, post industrial revolution machines and medicines, we struggle to imagine people existing without this knowledge. The wonders of the modern age give us a liberty to see into other people’s lives regardless of geography. There is no time in history when millions of people were able to observe millions of others having sex. Today the average man can see more fannies than Henry VII !!
It’s a strange paradox that we should use the pinnacle of technology, to satisfy the curiosity of our animal needs. They might be poles apart, but it’s almost as though by doing one perhaps alien activity, we need to be reminded of our animal instincts.
Perhaps it’s our altered state, the lack of the physical interaction that stimulates the mind to remind the self of the body whose job is to procreate. Maybe all those hours looking at flat screen result in a by-product or a need for stimulus attached to the mostly passive interacting with it.
Still when you look at all these bodies it is easy to forget they have a story attached. But perhaps this is too much for us to comprehend, like flying over a city of tall buildings that behind every window there is a life.
It’s a distraction, an entertainment of sorts. But there are times when I think about the human cost of this. It is one thing to be anonymous, but what happens when the person is known to you? Imagine falling in love and having children with someone, only later to find explicit fragments of intimacy of their past, in the public domain?
It is a simple narrative I can see it in my mind like a film, a couple fall in love, for whatever reason (we know the reason) one of them is looking at pornographic images online and see their loved one is having sex with someone else, imaging the fallout from that, the consequences would probably be tragic, but maybe not, who knows? There are obviously many people that have already experienced this, so I guess they are the ones who know the answer.
From another room I hear the questions asked who are you exactly? What have you done? In the real life we need more than just an object of desire. In theory we want to know the whole person, so in theory we will know who we give our love to. But in reality we don’t want the complete answer, so if we heard everything that person they did in their life before, the mostly like outcome will be that we would fall out of love with them. The complete uncensored truth would be an ugly and painful place to live with. So instead we choose a compromise, preferring to sit somewhere between knowledge and ignorance.
The foundation of attraction is the mystery of the unknown. The irony of course is often the more people know the less they like each other. The mystery fades and the reality returns. It is therefore hardly surprising then that this suspension of belief would also exist throughout the perception of an individual’s experience. Perhaps the only really surprising thing is just how unaware we are of how incomplete are comprehension actually is.
The certainty of the usual path is nothing more than to wish facts in reality and place them in an order of our liking. A preference and nothing more.
Images and nothing else. That I remind myself is what I do, make images. But as yet nothing complete clear and so original had come into mind. During these days,(as I am on the subject of distractions) while I look out, follow virtual image led paths to no particular destination, I do learn or learn something of people creativity, their interest in things, sometimes interesting or plain weird. In a sense they are collectors whose identity is made from these choices. I imagine this as a landscape, a form constructed from these contents, a parallel universe or plane, unseen to the human eye, which once given some special glasses you would be able to see, just floating there, between the gaps of our daily life. Millions and millions of images, a city stacked up and lived in like houses...just there.
But images are not all equal, some have a special quality, to encapsulate a moment in time completely, again there is no such thing, but in such a way that it makes you wish you had been there at that moment to experience it. Great artist have this ability, some very good photographers and film makers too. They make worlds, they take a handful of time and make it there’s, and by so doing, create other worlds for our minds to live in.
Somewhere between Idaho and ignite, can be found identity.
